Acrylics

I paint much the same way with acrylics as I do with watercolour using the paper white. The surface I use is birch ply primed then treated painted with Daniel Smith Watercolour Ground. This gives an absorbent surface that bonds the watery washes I use to the board.

Acrylics are Golden Open a slow drying paint of superb quality. The finished paintings are varnished and can be displayed with no glazing.

Paintings will be suitable for display in brighter rooms as Golden acrylic is very lightfast.
